Ps 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
10 Names Given To God’s Word
a. Shows what God expects from us

1. Law - Rules of conduct
God's law; this is enacted by him as our Sovereign.
2. Testimonies - Confirmation of His promises
His testimonies; they are solemnly declared to the world.
3. Precepts - to place in trust - man’s responsibility
His precepts; not left as indifferent matters to us.
4. Statutes - to engrave - etched in stone - unchanging
His statutes; they are always binding.
5. Commandments - not preferences
His commandments; given with authority.
6. Judgments - legal sanctions - to govern - to vindicate
His judgments; framed in infinite wisdom.
Be not deceived, God is not mocked
7. Word - sayings - speakes of inspiration
His word, or saying; it is the declaration of his mind.
8. Way - road, path, journey, path of life
His way; this is the rule of his providence.
9. His righteousness; it is the rule and standard of what is right.
10. His truth or faithfulness; it is eternal truth, it shall endure for ever.
