This morning I want to deal with something that…

1. It costs nothing, but creates much.
2. It enriches those who receive without impoverishing those who give.
3. It happens in a flash, and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
4. None are so rich they can get along without it, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.
5. Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen

13 YE ARE the SALT of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city that is set on an hill CANNOT BE HID.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 LET your light so shine before men, that they may SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

THE WORD LIGHT IS USED 235 TIMES IN SCRIPTURE.

SOMEBODY SAID LIGHT IS GOOD BUT SORE EYES DON'T LIKE IT... MAN IS THAT TRUE IN THE HOUR WE LIVE IN.

GOD IS A LIGHT, HIS WORD IS A LIGHT, AND WE ARE TOLD TO BE LIGHTS.

Today I want to deal with the subject of Light. Last Sunday night Bro. Dennis Carter preached on, "What to do when it's dark, or When the Light goes out".

"YE" IS A COLLECTIVE PRONOUN WHICH SPEAKS OF ALL THOSE WHO ARE SAVED BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

Make no mistake about it… Saved folks are something special. You may not have a lot to offer this world, but to God you are special.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

This light comes from our Wonderful Saviour! Do you know HIM?

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

That ethereal agent or matter which makes objects perceptible to the sense of seeing, but the particles of which are separately invisible. It is usually united with heat…

Light can only come when you are joined to the True light source… Christians on the beach today aren't not shining.. They are not united with The Light.

When we are united with the source and we are putting off light, you know what? We'll warm things up!

Without Jesus you are in the Dark!
He is the Light of the World.

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

A woman named Rose Crawford had been blind for 50 years. "I just can't believe it!" she gasped as the doctor lifted the bandages from her eyes after her recovery from delicate surgery in an Ontario hospital. She wept for joy when for the first time in her life a dazzling and beautiful world of form and color greeted eyes that now were able to see. The amazing thing about the story, however, is that 20 years of her blindness had been unnecessary. She didn't know that surgical techniques had been developed, and that an operation could have restored her vision at the age of 30. The doctor said, "She just figured there was nothing that could be done about her condition. Much of her life could have been different."

As I read the news account of her case, some questions came to mind. Why did she continue to assume that her situation was hopeless? Had no one told her about the wonderful advances in eye surgery? Then I thought of the plight of those unreached by the Gospel. How many will go on living in moral blindness unless we bring them to the Savior?
